South America-based LATAM Airlines is to refit it’s B787 aircraft, and has selected Recaro’s R7 suite for business class.
This enhancement will include 20 R7 suites in LATAM’s B787-8s and 30 in their B787-9s, totalling 24 shipsets.
The airline has requested some changes to the seat design. The seats will feature an increased shell height for additional privacy and suite doors which will make the carrier the first South-American based airline to offer this experience to passengers. Additionally, seats will feature dress covers using recycled antimicrobial faux leather.
