Air freight wholesaler Air Menzies International has opened a new branch at Frankfurt Airport.
It is the company’s 24th location and comes as part of a growth strategy across Europe.
Air Menzies International noted that Frankfurt Airport is Europe’s busiest airport for cargo traffic, handling over 1.8 million tonnes of cargo in 2020. It said the opening further reinforces the company’s “ability to ensure the reliable movement of freight between [its] locations, with oversight of shipments from beginning to end”.
Air Menzies International will offer a variety of wholesale air freight services at the new branch, including door-to-door services on global import and export shipments; exports with consolidation and ‘Back2Back’; ‘Click2Ship’, its platform for express shipments; X-ray screening and warehousing services; as well as customs clearance and documentation support.
“Increasing our presence across Europe has always been a key component of our growth strategy,” said Air Menzies International’s CEO Jonathan Clark. “Germany is a major manufacturing hub in Europe, making it essential to have a presence there, and as the business capital of Germany, Frankfurt is the ideal strategic location. The addition of Frankfurt to our network means we now have 24 branches globally, with more planned to be added in 2022 and beyond.”
