GA Telesis delivers third 737-800SF freighter conversion

GA Telesis has delivered its third 737-800SF (MSN 28616) passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion. It is the second freighter aircraft delivered to Bulgarian-based Compass Cargo Airlines.

The aircraft was converted by the Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) authorised conversion centre Commercial Jet, in Miami.

GA Telesis’ Leasing, Investment, Financing & Trading (LIFT) announced its expansion in the air cargo market in July 2020. With three 737-800SF converted aircraft in service, LIFT holds nine more confirmed slots for the P2F airframe.

“GA Telesis is very excited to expand its relationship with Compass Cargo Airlines as it strives to meet the incredible demand for air cargo capacity in the European market,” said LIFT’s chief investment officer and president Marc Cho. “Air cargo continues to be a key area of focus for the GA Telesis Ecosystem of products and services, and we are thrilled to provide solutions to valued customers like Compass.”

Compass Cargo’s vice president – technical Fatih Bayram commented: “Compass Cargo intends to play an important role going forward in the European cargo market with our growing 737-800SF freighter fleet and we’re delighted to be working with GA Telesis for aircraft leases.”
