Maersk Air Cargo has joined the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) as its newest airline member.

With hubs in Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the UK and China, Maersk Air Cargo connects more than 30 airports worldwide through scheduled services, alongside additional airports served via charter operations.

Its fleet of 19 aircraft, including Boeing 777s and 767s, delivers over 400 weekly flight legs across a growing global network.

Lars Jordahn, chief executive of Maersk Air Cargo, said: “Maersk Air Cargo is delighted to join ERA, strengthening our regional and European voice as we advance our presence and contribution in shaping the future of air cargo.”

Montserrat Barriga, ERA’s director general, said: “Maersk Air Cargo brings significant air freight expertise and a strong integrated logistics perspective to ERA’s airline community.

“Air cargo is a vital enabler of both European and global connectivity, and Maersk Air Cargo’s forward-looking approach, combined with its operational scale and sustainability focus, adds real value to our collective advocacy and engagement across Europe.”

As Maersk Air Cargo continues to expand its operations while pursuing more environmentally responsible practices, its membership further reinforces ERA’s role as a leading voice for both passenger and cargo airlines operating across Europe and beyond.
