Global air and travel services provider, dnata, has appointed Gilles Pettolaz as its head of operations in Geneva, Switzerland, effective immediately.

Pettolaz will oversee dnata’s activity at Geneva Airport (GVA), including ramp, cargo and passenger services.

He will manage a team of 600 employees to ensure high-quality and safe services for more than 30 airline customers.

Pettolaz is a seasoned professional with decades of experience in various senior roles across the transport, security, food and beverage, hospitality and technology sectors.

Most recently he was managing director for Switzerland at public transport company, RATP Dev. His previous positions included operations director at SV Group, the leading hospitality and catering group in the DACH region, and regional operations manager at SSP Group, a global operator of food and beverage outlets.

Besides Geneva, dnata also provides a range of ground handling and cargo services in Zurich in Switzerland.

In the 2022-2023 financial year, dnata moved over 60,000 tonnes of cargo with a team of 1,100 employees in the country.
