321 Precision Conversions

321 Precision Conversions has received the award of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Supplemental Type Certificate Number ST02716SE for the group’s new A321-200PCF freighter.

321 is a joint venture between Aircraft Transport Services Group (ATSG) and Precision Aircraft Solution.

“This major accomplishment, achieved during an unprecedented global pandemic, bears witness to the professionalism and dedication of all parties,” said Precision Aircraft Solutions’ president Gary Warner. “[These are] our ATSG partners, our well-seasoned engineering and manufacturing professionals, and the dedicated men and women of the United States Federal Aviation Administration’s Seattle ACO.

“The A321-200PCF features the lowest operating empty weight (44,500kg), more standard range and payload, better crew amenities, and the most reliable and proven cargo door design and most versatile cargo handling system available for the A321 platform.”

ATSG’ president and CEO Rich Corrado commented: “Our goal was to rejuvenate the world’s cargo aircraft fleet with next generation efficient and economical fly-by-wire aircraft; to produce an A321 freighter designed to be the best choice for the mission. We have done that.

“With huge backlogs of newly manufactured neo aircraft poised to enter global passenger service and a thousand MAX jets entering service, the feed stock to support modern and efficient freighter conversions is now available to meet the needs of a burgeoning air freight market.”
