Frontier Airlines has contracted Menzies Aviation to provide full ground services at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport from next month.
Menzies already provides fuel services at the airport for many airlines.
Menzies said it would invest around US$3 million into new ground services equipment (GSE) and recruit a new team of almost 200 colleagues to manage the ground services operation.
Atlanta will be the 20th city where Menzies provides services to Frontier across the US and Mexico.
“We are delighted to expand into ground services at Atlanta and to add another important Frontier location to our large network of airports with the airline,” said Menzies Aviation’s executive vice president Americas John Redmond. “We know the Frontier product very well from our existing operations especially in Denver and Orlando and we are excited to work with Frontier at this new location to provide safe, secure and consistent quality service for Frontier and their guests.”
Frontier Airlines’ senior vice president customers Jake Filene commented: “We have built up a strong relationship over the past several years with Menzies and we consider them a trusted and reliable business partner. Frontier is focused on delivering a friendly and reliable experience for our customers, and partners like Menzies are essential in helping us to deliver upon our promise of ‘Low Fares Done Right’. Menzies is now our partner in 20 cities and we are looking forward to working with their new team in Atlanta.”
