Global air freight logistics firm Leschaco has named Ulrich Steenken as its new chief financial officer.
The Bremen-based provider said Steenken is an “internationally experienced financial manager with proven business expertise to complete the management board”.
In his role Steenken will be responsible for the financial management of the Leschaco Group and work closely with chief executive Constantin Conrad to drive the family-owned company’s growth plans.
Conrad said: “We welcome Ulrich Steenken as chief financial officer to Leschaco’s management board and look forward to working together to achieve our future goals.
“We are convinced that his leadership style, international experience and diverse expertise will be of great value to the growth strategy and success story of our company.”
Conrad studied business administration at the University of Cologne before starting his professional career as commercial controller at Trans-O-Flex in Weinheim.
He then moved to Kühne & Nagel in New York where he assumed responsibility as regional controller Latin America.
This was followed by key positions in financial management at Rohde & Liesenfeld International in Hamburg (part of the Geodis Group since 2008) and Paul Günther Logistik, also in Hamburg.
In 2008, he moved to the Geodis Group, an international logistics service provider, where he most recently held the position finance chief at Geodis FF Germany.
Before joining the Leschaco Group Steenken was managing director at Confion Consulting.
