Welcome to the latest issue of Aircraft Cabin Management. As always, you’ll find this issue packed with insightful content and exclusive interviews.
In our Design Update, we explore JetBlue’s exciting new Mint A321neo business class cabin. In the feature (page 20), the airline’s design partner Acumen Design Associates discusses the cabin’s materials and finishes and explains what inspired its design. The exciting design features a bespoke version of the VantageSOLO seat by Thompson Aero Seating that offers all-aisle access and high levels of privacy with integrated doors. You’ll find more details about VantageSOLO in our Seats section on page 18.
Meanwhile, in our piece on onboard catering on page 40, our features editor Melissa Moody discovers what steps airlines are taking to keep their passengers well-fed and safe whilst flying. In our overhead luggage bins feature (page 29), Bernie Baldwin finds out how there’s more to overhead bins than meets the eye.
On page 15, we catch a glimpse of the bold new colours revealed by Ultrafabrics. The innovative aircraft fabric supplier continues to demonstrate its commitment to building a more sustainable future and these six new colours – Indigotin, Matcha, Spinach, Porcini, Pitch Black and Café Noir – include rich neutrals inspired by the earth’s surface.
We also speak with RwandAir’s CEO Yvonne Manzi Makolo (page 24) who explains how the ambitious airline is planning to make the most of Africa’s untapped aviation market to grow and expand.
