Hi Fly has exceeded key gender diversity targets outlined in the International Air Transport Association’s 25by2025 initiative, reaching 31% female representation in senior leadership roles and 43% across its total workforce.
These figures place the widebody wet lease specialist well ahead of the voluntary benchmarks aimed at improving gender balance in aviation.
Since committing to the 25by2025 initiative at the IATA Wings of Change Europe event in 2019, Hi Fly has implemented a series of inclusive recruitment and talent development strategies. The proportion of women in leadership positions has steadily increased from 23% in 2019 to 31% in 2025, reflecting ongoing efforts to create equitable career progression opportunities.
The 25by2025 initiative calls on participating airlines to raise the number of women in senior positions and within IATA governance structures, while also ensuring transparency through public reporting of diversity metrics.
Hi Fly’s overall workforce now comprises 43% women, highlighting the company’s broader success in fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Internal policies focused on fairness, professional growth, and equal access to advancement have contributed to sustained progress toward a more balanced and representative organisation.
With the original 2025 goals now surpassed, Hi Fly plans to continue evolving its diversity and inclusion strategies, maintaining momentum toward long-term equity across all areas of its operations.
Antonios Efthymiou, chief executive of Hi Fly, said: “These results reflect our ongoing belief that diversity strengthens both performance and workplace culture. Reaching 43% female representation across our workforce is not just a number – it’s a sign of steady, inclusive progress.
“We’re proud of how far we’ve come and remain committed to pushing further toward true gender balance at every level of our organisation.
“Our commitment to diversity is not only about improving our culture, but also about ensuring that our workforce mirrors the world we serve.”
