Ascend Airways (UK) to add two B37 MAX 8 aircraft to fleet

ACMI and charter airline Ascend Airways (UK) will shortly add two B737 MAX 8 aircraft to it’s fleet. The newcomers will be arriving at the end of July 2025 according to data from IBA Insights.

Part of Avia Solutions Group, the world’s largest ACMI provider, the airline also recently secured its Canadian Foreign Air Operator Certificate (FAOC), marking another significant milestone in its rapid expansion.

Ascend Airways is a UK-registered airline, which has an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and Type B Operating License from the UK CAA. In 2023, it was acquired by Ireland-headquartered Avia Solutions Group, which operates a fleet of 221 aircraft on 6 continents.

Ascend operates aircraft for Air Sierra Leone, meaning flights between London and Freetown are now possible again for the first time in a decade.
