Swedish electric aircraft startup Heart Aerospace joins the Regional Airline Association (RAA), a trade association for North American regional airlines and associated businesses.

As the trade body for the North American regional market, the RAA’s connections and relationships with policy makers will give Heart Aerospace an insight and ability to help shape the evolving government policy discussions on battery electric flight.

North American regional carriers provide essential connectivity to the regions and the ES-30 is uniquely placed to both reopen lost air markets as well as decarbonizing routes flown by the current generation of regional aircraft.

”We’re delighted to join the RAA and deepen our commitment to the North American market. We believe that electric and hybrid electric air travel, by offering lower operating costs, can enable airlines to restore and expand connectivity. And this can be achieved with significantly lower emissions compared to conventional aircraft and other modes of transport,” said Anders Forslund, CEO of Heart Aerospace.

The firm has also appointed Simon Hewitt to the newly created role of President.

The President position is new to Heart Aerospace and in this role, Simon will lead the internal running of the company in addition to his current role as Chief Commercial Officer, a position he has held since 2022.

“In his new role, Simon will ensure a dynamic and effective organization as we continue to scale the company,” said Forslund
