Dallas Airmotive has promoted Mike Englert to the position of general manager of its Regional Turbine Center in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
The Signature Aviation Global Engine Services company said the appointment was effective from April, with former general manager Doug Gannaway retiring.
Englert, who will lead the Regional Turbine Center’s daily operations and customer support functions, has more than 35 years of aircraft maintenance experience. This includes a 13-year tenure at Dallas Airmotive in field service and RTC leadership roles, as well as multiple director of maintenance positions prior to joining the company.
“We are confident Mike will do very well leading the St. Louis RTC, just as he did when he managed Dallas Airmotive’s PW500 hot section shop within Cessna Wichita for several years,” said Dallas Airmotive’s vice president of sales and service Jeff Turner.
“We are excited for Mike to transition into the role and we wish Doug Gannaway all the best in his retirement and thank him for many years of service to the organisation and expert support of our customers.”
Englert commented: “I recognise the demand of operators concerning aircraft availability and cost of operation, and I look forward to using that knowledge and my experience with FAA Part 91, 135 and 145 operations and business management to best support our customers.”
The St. Louis RTC operates at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport and offers fly-in support for aircraft requiring service on Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, JT15D and PW500 engines. Engine services offered include hot section inspections, bleed valve repair, power section repair, over-torque, lightning strike and sudden stoppage repairs, fuel nozzle exchange kits, same-day flow checks and other line maintenance and troubleshooting support.
