Eastern Airlines has selected Swiss AviationSoftware’s (Swiss-AS) AMOS MRO software solution to support its fleet of twelve 767 and 777 aircraft.
The US airline has signed for the AMOS Airline/MRO Edition to manage its maintenance activities.
Eastern has also opted for a fully AMOS cloud hosted model with AMOS running on a PostgreSQL database, and mobile solution AMOSmobile/EXEC. It gives maintenance staff direct access to live data and enables them to record all activities directly at the aircraft in real time.
“Having the pleasure to welcome Eastern Airlines to the AMOS community is a big step forward for Swiss-AS in the highly competitive US market,” said Swiss-AS CEO Ronald Schaeuffele Scherer.
“It is great to play a part in supporting growing airlines to become efficient and we look forward to supporting Eastern on their journey.”
Implementation of AMOs began in July. “The system has greatly increased our ability to control the maintenance, material, quality and engineering functions,” said Eastern Airlines VP maintenance and engineering Eric Couvreur. “We are planning to use the system to its full capability when implementation is complete to include AMOSmobile. The cloud environment is the way forward and a goal for Eastern across all platforms.”
