Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana has contracted GA Telesis to provide repair services for spare parts, components and tooling across its fleet.
Air Astana operates 767, A320/A321 and Embraer 190 aircraft types.
The agreement is a supplemental support contract driven by the Flight Solutions Group’s Eurasia office headed by senior vice president Mehmet Gökhan Doğan.
“I am very happy to further develop our existing agreements signed with Air Astana. They remain one of our key strategic partners in Eurasia with whom we have an existing A320/A321 neo flight-hour agreement,” Doğan said.
“This new repair management agreement will be supported by our MRO services group and allows us to improve on the customer’s efficiency while lowering costs on a larger scale for enhanced operational excellence.”
Air Astana’s director supply management Talgat Saimov commented: “The implementation of this repair agreement, in addition to our flight-hour agreement, will speed up the repair process for components of our whole fleet, not limited only to the Airbus neo.
“This will also allow us to enlarge our operational efficiency utilising the large scope of services that our partner GA Telesis has bundled together.”
