HAECO Hong Kong has completed a winglet modification in tandem with C-Check for a Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The winglet modification was to change the aircarft’s blended winglets to a split scimitar winglet configuration, improving fuel efficiency.
As an Aviation Partners Boeing designation authorised modification centre, HAECO Hong Kong has completed over 110 winglet modifications on Boeing 737NG, 757 and 767 aircraft.
In 2020, Virgin Australia simplified its fleet structure to an all-Boeing 737 fleet. The airline has committed to a target of net zero emissions by 2050.
