Heston MRO maintenance contract extended by Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines has extended a maintenance agreement with Heston MRO for three years.

Heston MRO will handle all of the airline’s incoming and departing passenger flights in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, on 777, 787, A350 and A380 aircraft types. The handling agreements also cover Singapore Airlines’ 747 freighter flights to Melbourne.

Under the signed extended agreements, the scope of services includes full handling of aircraft transits, defect rectification, local warehousing and logistics support.

“This is positive news for Heston MRO in the Covid-19 affected aviation world,” commented Heston MRO’s CEO Asta Zirlyte. “Despite the current travel restrictions, airlines in the Australia and South East Asian region are gearing up for the post-pandemic market recovery.

“Heston MRO is positioning itself to play an active role in the upcoming market recovery. We are extremely honoured with the trust that Singapore Airlines Group puts in Heston MRO as its long-standing technical support partner in Australia.”
