South American ultra-low-cost carrier JetSMART Airlines has contracted AJW Group to provide power-by-the-hour (PBH) support in a 10-year deal.

The airline, created by Indigo Partners in 2017, also controls US airline Frontier Airlines, Mexico’s Volaris, Hungarian airline Wizz Air, Canadian airline Lynx Air and Philippine airline Cebu Pacific.

The support contract went live on 1 July. It will see AJW Group manage the complete supply, repair, and overhaul of components for the operator’s rapidly expanding fleet of A320ceo and neo aircraft at JetSMART’s primary base of operations in Santiago, Chile.

AJW will support with inventory from all strategic European and North American hubs as well as supplying dedicated on-site inventory in Chile, Peru, and Argentina to support dispatch reliability.

AJW Technique, the group’s flagship maintenance facility in Montreal, will provide component repair services, in concert with strategic partners across the supply chain.
