Thai Airways has signed a six-year agreement to extend its TrueChoice™ Service with GE Aerospace that covers the MRO of the airline’s GE90 engine powered Boeing 777 commercial fleet.

Russell Stokes, president and chief executive of commercial engines and services for GE Aerospace, said: “GE Aerospace is honoured that Thai Airways continues to select us to keep its GE90 fleet operating safely and reliably.

“We greatly appreciate their partnership, and it is a privilege to continue delivering exceptional services and customer support.”

The extended agreement was announced at the Farnborough International Airshow.

The array of TrueChoice engine maintenance offerings incorporates GE Aerospace capabilities and customisations across an engine’s lifecycle.

All TrueChoice offerings are supported by GE Aerospace data analytics capabilities and experience to help reduce maintenance burden and service disruptions.

Chai Eamsiri, chief executive of Thai Airways, said: “GE Aerospace continues to prove itself as the right maintenance provider for our GE90 engines. This agreement extension ensures comprehensive coverage for our engines well into the future.”

Thai Airways and GE Aerospace recently announced a GEnx order for the airline’s 787 Dreamliner fleet expansion. The airline says it also plans to operate the Airbus 321neo with CFM LEAP engines.
