Qatar Airways has awarded Iberia Maintenance a 10-year contract for the repair and maintenance of V2500 engines.
All scheduled maintenance events will be carried out at Iberia Maintenance’s engine workshop at its facilities next to Madrid airport, with more than 52,000sq m dedicated to MRO and engineering services.
“We are delighted that Qatar Airways has entrusted Iberia Maintenance with this long-term strategic contract for the engine maintenance support of its V2500-powered fleet,” said Iberia’s chief executive Javier Sánchez-Prieto.
“We have over recent years invested heavily in the development of this product and we will continue to do so ensuring we provide cost effective and a differentiated service to our customers today and into the future.”
Qatar Airways’ group chief executive His Excellency Akbar Al Baker said: “We are pleased to be working with our strategic partner Iberia Maintenance, who will provide long-term maintenance support for our V2500 engines fitted on our extensive A320 series aircraft.
