MESA now authorised for A330 and A340 base maintenance

Portugal’s civil aviation authority ANAC has issued two new certifications to Portuguese maintenance provider MESA.

Portugal’s civil aviation authority ANAC has issued two new certifications to Portuguese maintenance provider MESA.

Based in Lisbon International Airport and Beja Airport, the MRO provider is now authorised to perform an enhanced scope of base maintenance on the Airbus A330 equipped with Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines.

MESA can now also offer to conduct base maintenance for Airbus A340 aircraft in intervals of up to 48 months, allowing it to undertake more detailed and comprehensive repairs on A340 airliners, which includes an exhaustive inspection of structural components, systems and various other crucial elements.

MESA says the certifications enhance its ability to handle a broader spectrum of aircraft types and engine configurations, further strengthening its position as a versatile MRO partner.
