Safran Nacelles has signed a five-year agreement with TARMAC Aerosave to deliver support for nacelles on aircraft undergoing maintenance at TARMAC Aerosave sites in France and Spain.

The deal will see Safran Nacelles deliver its OEM expertise to TARMAC Aerosave to support its maintenance services to aircraft operators and airframers on Airbus A380, A330ceo, A330neo and A320neo powered by CFM International LEAP-1A turbofan engines.

It will mean TARMAC Aerosave will gain access to spare parts and large nacelle components (air inlet, fan cowls, thrust reversers and exhaust systems).

The company will receive engineering services for repair solutions alongside MRO services on the Safran Nacelles site in Pont Audemer, France, or directly on wing at TARMAC Aerosave locations.

The cooperation between the two companies will enable easier identification and optimised recycling of materials, thereby contributing to the eco-design process of future nacelles.

Commenting on the agreement signed at MRO Europe 2023, Alain Berger, Safran Nacelles’ executive vice president – customer support and services, said: “I am pleased with this new opportunity to work with TARMAC Aerosave.

“This company is committed to both maintaining aircraft in operation and to recycling their components. We are proud to contribute to this movement by bringing our full expertise in nacelles.”

Alexandre Brun, president of TARMAC Aerosave, said: “By working together with Safran Nacelles, we are sure of delivering the highest quality of maintenance services on the nacelles of our customers.

“What is more, the proximity of our sites will enable swift and cost-effective services.”
