Dave Yip has been appointed as the chief operating officer of Metrojet, effective October 01, 2023.

Yip will oversee all of Metrojet’s business units – Aircraft Management and Charter, Hong Kong SAR MRO, and Metrojet Engineering Clark (MEC) in the Philippines.

This is a promotion for Yip from his previous role as managing director of Metrojet’s MRO.

Yip has over 25 years of extensive management experience in both business and commercial aviation, including his tenure as chief operating officer of Hongkong Jet where he oversaw all aircraft management and maintenance functions.

Yip said: “The new organisation structure planned by Gary Dolski [Metrojet’s chief executive] our three-year corporate plan brings the management and maintenance units together and enhances the business synergies within.

“The Metrojet team will maintain a coordinated effort and continue delivering our best to the customers.”

Metrojet says Yip’s broad business aviation experience coupled with his significant market knowledge will assist in the profitable growth and expansion efforts of its business.
