Paris Air Show 2025: LTAA extends engine MRO agreement with P&W Canada
Lufthansa Technik AERO Alzey (LTAA) has renewed its Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) licenses with Pratt & Whitney Canada for the MRO of PW100 and PW150 engine types.
This agreement, signed at the Paris Air Show 2025, authorises LTAA to continue providing comprehensive engine maintenance services for a wide range of regional aircraft.
The license renewal encompasses the approximately 3,300 PW100 and 850 PW150 engines worldwide, which primarily power regional aircraft such as the ATR 72 and the De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400 (Q400).
The contract marks the continuation of a business relationship that began 37 years ago, reflecting the long-standing collaboration between LTAA and Pratt & Whitney Canada.
In 1988, the PW100 engine was the first product introduced to LTAA, in those days formerly operating as DLT A.E.R.O. Services GmbH. The business relationship expanded in 2006 when LTAA was designated as a DOF for the PW150 engine as well. Since then, LTAA has consistently upheld its role as a DOF, adhering to the highest standards in aviation maintenance.
Rubin Siddique, chief executive at LTAA, said: “As a Designated Overhaul Facility, we are committed to upholding the high standards set by Pratt & Whitney Canada. We greatly appreciate the trust and confidence placed in our long-standing relationship and look forward to continuing this successful collaboration.”
