Sabena technics has appointed Pierre-Emmanuel Wolff as managing director of its Bordeaux site.
Wolff will also join the independent MRO’s executive committee.
He has more than 25 years of management experience, having begun his career as an engineer. Sabena technics noted that he has held several high-ranking positions, first in the railway industry and then in the aeronautics industry, including as industrial director of Stelia Aerospace in Rochefort.
Before joining Sabena technics, Pierre-Emmanuel spent eleven years within the Airbus Group, during which time he held various strategic positions.
“Pierre-Emmanuel’s experience and leadership qualities are valuable assets for managing our Bordeaux site and continuing to serve our customers successfully,” said Sabena technics’ chief executive officer Philippe Rochet. “I am convinced of his total participation in our group’s strategy of industrial excellence and development.”
Sabena technics offers maintenance and modification capabilities for a range of civil (both narrowbody and widebody) and military aircraft at Bordeaux-Mérignac airport, where it employs over 1,000 people.
Airframe maintenance and component repair activities are carried out within eight hangars and various workshops, spread over 100,000sq m of technical facilities. The Mérignac site also benefits from a design office (EASA Part 21J), a manufacturing unit (EASA Part 21G) and a qualifying training centre (EASA Part 147).
