Mexican carrier MasAir Cargo Airline has signed with Lufthansa Technik for a total component support contract.
The contract covers repair and overhaul of components for MasAir’s fleet of Boeing 767Fs and governs supply for up to 14 aircraft over a period of five years.
It is the first contract signed directly between Lufthansa Technik and MasAir.
“With Lufthansa Technik we are confident to have secured the support of a global player in technical aircraft services whose experience and reliability we highly value,” said MasAir’s director of maintenance Gustavo Acevedo. “This is especially important now that we have started our ambitious fleet expansion plan.”
Lufthansa Technik’s senior director corporate sales Latin America and The Caribbean Robin Johansson commented: “This contract is a big success for Lufthansa Technik in the highly competitive Mexican market. As a strong partner, we are looking forward to supporting MasAir during the successful expansion of its business.”
The MRO provider said component support for the MasAir fleet would be ensured through a home base stock to be established in Mexico City and in Los Angeles, California.
