Safran Electrical & Power (Safran) and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) have signed a General Term Agreement and a Power By the Hour contract to maintain Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Generators.
The contracts are for a five-year period and will cover more than 300 Airbus A320 and A320neo operated by one of AFI KLM E&M’s customer airlines from the Asia-Pacific area.
The aim is to provide state-of-the-art repair, with a seamless workflow, and a quick turn-around-time to support AFI KLM E&M’s operations and those of it’s subsidiary.
Safran will repair the APU generators in its Pitstone facility in the UK.
Vincenzo Guerriero, vice president customer services and support at Safran, said: “We are delighted to sign these two contracts with AFI KLM E&M, an important customer of Safran. This is the result of a good relationship that we wish to further strengthen in the future.
“We are committed to provide with the best possible service as well as the highest level of quality expected by an aviation equipment manufacturer to support AFI KLM E&M’s operations around the world.”
José-Marie Louis, vice president procurement at Air France Industries, said: “We are very pleased with this agreement with Safran. As an airline-MRO we are constantly looking for the most adaptive solutions to meet our customers’ needs.
“Safran’s expertise in maintaining APU generators guarantees our customers’ fleets high-quality support.”
