Embraer has selected StandardAero to provide MRO services for the Pratt & Whitney Canada APS 2300 auxiliary power units (APUs) enrolled in its ‘Pool Program’.
The APUs are equipped on Embraer’s family of E-Jet E1 regional aircraft, including the E170, E175, E190 and E195.
The multi-year contract also covers support of associated APS 2300 line replaceable units (LRUs).
Work will be conducted at StandardAero’s Maryville, Tennessee location, which is an OEM-approved authorised repair facility for the APS 2300.
Embraer Services & Support president & CEO Johann Christian Jean Charles Bordais noted that the companies had been partners for many years under different platforms. “This renewal illustrates StandardAero’s understanding of Embraer’s business model, and it will provide Embraer with cost reduction in our APS 2300 Pool Program,” he said. “Embraer values its partnership with StandardAero and looks forward continuing this relationship in the future.”
StandardAero’s Randy Mengel, VP/GM of the company’s Maryville facility, said: “We support Embraer and its customers through a number of different engine/APU platforms, including the CF34-8, AE 3007 and PT6A, and we are proud of the trust shown in us by Embraer through the renewal of our APS 2300 Pool Program support arrangement. We look forward to continuing to support Embraer and its customers with reliable, cost-effective APU MRO services for many years to come.”
