ACS UK to expand Cambridge operations
Cabin equipment manufacturer ACS UK is to add an additional facility in Cambridge to it’s portfolio.
Located adjacent to the company’s existing Cambridge site, the new facility, named Novus, spans 21,467 square feet across two floors. The site will provide a dedicated space for new final assembly lines as well as areas for development and testing.

ACS UK is the British arm of AVIC Cabin Systems and produces galleys, monuments and feature panels. Back in 2022 it had taken a decision to reduce its offerings to new business in order to focus on delivering orders acquired from Bournemouth-based AIM Altitude Ltd.
With the AIM issues resolved, ACS UK reopened its order books in 2025. It has since reported that it has exceeded new business targets for 2026, thanks in part to a successful appearance at the AIX trade show. As a result, an expansion in production capacity is justified.
Nigel McSorley, CEO of ACS UK, said: “This expansion is a direct response to the strength of our business and the confidence we have in our future. Our return to the market has exceeded expectations, with demand significantly outpacing our initial projections and our order books performing strongly. Now is the right time to invest further in our facilities. The new site gives us the infrastructure to increase production, enhance the customer experience and build for the next phase of our growth.”
The facility is expected to become fully operational later this year.
