My favourite city to visit so far…. New York, such a variety of people, places to eat and a great energy to the city.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… Inflight Entertainment, an opportunity to watch a full movie without interruption from the children!

The best thing about aviation is… The ever evolving technologies the sector produces means it is never dull.

My favourite city to visit so far…. Palma because of the eateries and the architecture is so beautiful, and it has such a cosmopolitan feel about the city.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… Headache pills as I like to sample the local wines!

The best thing about aviation is… The people in our sector – everyone I have met has been so friendly.

My favourite city to visit so far…. Nur Sultan the capital of Khazakstan, not in many people’s travel Top Trumps and a place that is little known by most people you’ll meet, particularly after it was renamed from Astana in 2019.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why…My Bluetooth noise-cancelling headphones. Not only great for listening to downloads of my favourite podcasts but a way of signalling “no, I don’t want to be disturbed”. They also keep your ears warm!

The best thing about aviation is…That it connects the world and makes it a much smaller place, literally bringing people and cultures closer together.

My favourite city to visit so far…. is New York – an atmosphere like no other city, and I always make sure to visit Brooklyn neighbourhoods like Williamsburg or Dumbo – they’re away from the crowds but with great views of the Manhattan skyline.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… my phone so that I can catch up on a box set or listen to a podcast or two – makes the journey go a lot quicker!

The best thing about aviation is… that it allows us to travel long distances in a short amount of time, making the world so accessible.

My favourite city to visit so far…. I don’t know if it is my favourite, but I was fascinated by the desert city of Al Ain. It is built on an oasis, like the kind that you read about in storybooks. You get there by driving well over 100km down a road through open desert with endless sand dunes, then suddenly there is grass, palm trees, and even more strangely, cattle grazing (apparently made possible by an irrigation system over 3,000 years old). The place is boiling hot and well off the beaten track, but you get a taste of the real culture of old Arabia here.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… A difficult one to answer as I usually go to sleep as soon as the cabin door closes. However, I never check in online unless I absolutely must, and I usually dress as smartly as my wardrobe will allow as I still hold on to the belief that one day, I’ll be offered a free upgrade. It hasn’t happened yet, mind

The best thing about aviation is… Whenever I look at an aircraft, I have a sense of wonder about how such a thing can get into the sky and hold pressure for hours on end, multiple times every day and be reliable for years on end.

My favourite city to visit so far…. Seattle, Washington. You’ll find me visiting the Boeing Museum of Flight and Space Needle Tower, hiking in the wilderness and dining at the various seafood restaurants.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… Eyemask and earplugs, mainly to drown out the crying infants!

The best thing about aviation is… The design of aircraft. I will never fail to gasp in awe at the sight and sound of an A380 landing 100ft over your head, or a couple of GE-90-115Bs spooling up on a ‘contaminated’ runway take-off.

My favourite city to visit so far…. Florence, as I feel it’s a great mix of classic architecture and culture, and a modern, lively set of bars, restaurants and entertainment.

The one item that I couldn’t fly without and why… I couldn’t fly without the mobile, as it provides me with photos and videos of the family, and some games that keep me engaged on long trips.

The best thing about aviation is… Best thing about aviation is the ability to go to various parts of the world, opening you up to a range of different cultures and perspectives.
