Flag carrier Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) has selected Mirus’s Hawk economy seat for its latest Boeing 737-800 aircraft deliveries. The seats will be delivered and installed in March and April 2023.
Recognized as a leader in its class, the Mirus Hawk is a lightweight, slimline and cost-effective economy seat designed to enhance the passenger experience by maximising comfort and living space, and improving the appearance of the cabin through its modern and contemporary design. The ultra lightweight seat also lowers the cost of ownership to the airline through reduced fuel burn and the unique Mirus Care Warranty.
Founded in 2007, BoA flies to 16 destinations in 5 countries across the Americas and Europe operating an all Boeing fleet. It is the largest airline in Bolivia in terms of both fleet size and passenger numbers. The airline is the flag carrier of the Plurinational State of Bolivia and is wholly owned by the country’s government.
Ronald Casso Casso, BoA’s general manager commented: “After considering various seating options for our 737-800 retrofits, we were impressed both with the Hawk as a suitable product and the superior level of customer support offered by Mirus. Once retrofitted, the Hawk will significantly enhance the appearance of our cabins and offer our passengers a class-leading experience in terms of comfort and living space.”
Marcus Williams, Mirus’ global sales & marketing director, said: “Latin America is an important and ever-growing market for us, and we are pleased that BoA chose our Hawk seat for its latest aircraft retrofits. It’s always particularly satisfying when a national flag carrier trusts you to deliver a project – we can’t wait to see the Hawk installed on the aircraft and hear their feedback.”
The Mirus Hawk is currently certified and available for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft types.
