Klink named as Diehl Aviation chief operating officer

Diehl Aviation has named Jochen Klink as its new divisional chief operating officer (COO) and will also serve simultaneously as CEO of the cabin interiors business segment.

Klink brings to his new dual role 20 years operational experience gained within the aviation industry. Over time, the graduate industrial engineer (polytechnic) has taken on increasingly responsible leadership roles at Diehl Aviation with a particular focus on production management in cabin interiors.

“Jochen Klink is distinguished particularly by his technical knowledge, entrepreneurship and leadership skills,” said CEO Dr Jörg Schuler. “These are precisely the strengths which we need in order to master the ramp-up currently taking place within our industry while ensuring operational excellence.”

Klink’s appointment as COO completes the reorganization in Diehl Aviation. The company has repositioned itself in the past year, creating four strategic business segments, each operating with its own portfolio: Aircraft Systems, Cabin Interiors, Supply Systems and Upgrade Solutions.
