Corendon to introduce child-free ‘Only Adults’ class
Corendon Airlines is to introduce an ‘Only Adult’ zone on board its flights between Amsterdam and Curaçao. This zone on the plane is intended for travellers traveling without children and for business travellers who want to work in a quiet environment.
The Only Adult zone will be set up in the front section of the A350-900 aircraft leased by the airline and consists of nine XL seats with extra legroom and 93 standard seats. The zone, available from November, is to be physically separated from the rest of the aircraft by ‘walls and curtains’, creating a shielded environment for a relaxed flight. A seat reservation in the Only Adult zone costs €45 each way while an XL seat in the Only Adult zone costs €100 per way. The zone is accessible to passengers aged 16 and over.
Airline founder Atilay Uslu Atilay Uslu said: “On board our flights we always strive to respond to the different needs of our customers. We are also the first Dutch airline to introduce the Only Adult zone, because we try to cater to travellers who are looking for some extra peace and quiet during their flight. We also believe that this can have a positive effect on parents travelling with small children. They can enjoy the flight without worrying when their children make a little more noise.”
