Ahead of the Dubai Airshow next week, Lufthansa Technik, in collaboration with Boeing Business Jets (BBJ), has announced details of its latest cabin concept for the BBJ 777-9.

The final designs combine traditional influences from the Middle East’s cultural heritage with a modern twist, and now reveal for the first time the name of this new concept.

The design team have taken traditional Middle Eastern geometric design patterns as an influence as well as the vastness and openness of the sky.

A particular feature of the new design is the ‘cocoon-like’ bed and bathroom which, together with the adjacent Work & Balance area, form a private suite.  The design also features the largest rain shower apparently to ever feature on a private jet.

“The thoughtful design of the BBJ 777-9 interior created by Lufthansa Technik illustrates the key features of our newest, largest and most capable BBJ on the market,” said Alexis Fecteau, Managing Director of Marketing at Boeing Business Jets. “The elegant interior elements maximize personal comfort for passengers onboard the BBJ 777-9, which is capable of flying over 22 hours and connecting any two cities in the world, non-stop.”
