Cabin décor manufacturer F/List has announced a technology that allows wood veneer surfaces to light up on demand.

Known as ‘Lightshifter’, the concept was initiated in response to customer requests for products that instantly transform flat surfaces into backgrounds with minimal interaction.

“Once again, we are liberating the imagination with a never-before-seen concept, and we anticipate that customers will embrace the opportunity to surprise customers with the infinite possibilities the Lightshifter provides,” adds Patrick Domnanich, F/LIST Director Research & Development.

“Lightshifter supports the full spectrum of lighting requirements from providing cabin lighting without imposing fixtures to creating vivid light installations to complement branding, destinations, or customer preferences. We’re excited to see how customers apply the technology.”

The Lightshifter was unveiled at the Red Cabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Conference Innovation Summit, co-hosted by F/List in Vienna.
