Frontiers Airlines has expanded its partnership with Thales’ AVIOBOOK to “further its on-going efforts to improve efficiency and deliver environmentally friendly options”.
The ultra-low-cost American airline has increased the number of modules used as part of AVIOBOOK Flight and is trialling AVIOBOOK Connect to further facilitation pilot’s workflow and the exchange of information.
The AVIOBOOK FAA approved iPad application gives crews an “intuitive dashboard” with “all the information required for their flight”, including the regulatory Dispatch Release, meaning that they no longer have to be printed at the gate.
Thales said this will save Frontier from printing over 10 million pages of paper per year and thousands of gallons of fuel per year.
