Business Traveller, a renowned global travel magazine, has been organizing the Cellars in the Sky awards since 1985. Each year, airlines from around the world are invited to submit their first and business class wines, and a panel of esteemed wine experts conduct blind tastings.

Korean Air has been awarded in the Cellars in the Sky Awards for its inflight wines in various categories since 2002: it ranked first for Best First Class Sparkling and Best First Class Fortified Wine; first for Best Business Class Red Wine in 2017; second for Best First and Business Class Rosé Wines in 2019; and third for Best First Class Fortified/Dessert Wine in 2020.

To provide customers with the highest level of service, Korean Air pre-orders some of the best wines in advance to secure them in the best condition. The airline also offers a wide variety of wine, including local specialty wines, to satisfy the diverse tastes of its passengers.
