Aviation Business News (ABN) is on the hunt for the aviation sector’s best employers.

The UK-based B2B publisher of MRO Management, Air Cargo Management, Aircraft Cabin Management and Lowcost and Regional Airline Business, has launched the Best Places To Work In Aviation awards.

Airline sector firms and companies that derive the majority of their revenue from aviation can, from today, register to take part in an independent survey that will be carried out by our partners at US-based Workforce Research Group.

Next year ABN will reveal the results of the surveys with firms that make the grade entitled to call themselves one of the world’s Best Places To Work In Aviation.

Details of a glittering awards ceremony in 2024 will be revealed in due course, but employers now have until December to apply before registrations close.

Lee Hayhurst, editorial director of Aviation Business News, said: “The battle for talent is undoubtedly the most pressing issue the aviation sector faces today whether that’s in the cabin, the cockpit or behind the scenes in the engineering facilities that keep the world’s aircraft fleet flying.

“Aviation must compete in a global market in which talent is scarce, particularly in the increasingly important area of technology and digitalisation, and so it must extend its appeal to a wider, more diverse, and younger audience.

Participating firms will take part in a two-part process consisting of an employer assessment and employee feedback survey in which opinions about their workplace experiences will be captured to help us determine which are the best places to work in the industry.

To qualify, companies must be publicly or privately owned and operate in the aviation sector or predominantly supply services or products to the aviation sector. They must have been in business for more than a year and have at least 15 full time employees.

The Best Places To Work In Aviation accolade will provide winners with a vital competitive edge when recruiting, give employers vital insight into how they’re seen as an employer, offer a benchmark with competitors, and benefit from public recognition of their efforts.
