MAC Aero Interiors establishes new production facility in Estonia

Tallinn, Estonia: MAC Aero Interiors

MAC Aero Interiors has moved its production facility to a site run by Magnetic MRO in Tallinn, Estonia.

The new facility in Estonia’s capital was publicly inaugurated on 4 March. MAC Aero Interiors is the UK-based subsidiary of Magnetic MRO, a global provider of total technical care for aircraft operators and lessors.

Due to changes in the UK’s economic environment, the company has made the decision to provide its customers with the full spectrum of technical support by delivering a high standard of service via its production facility in Tallinn, which is Magnetic MRO part 145, POA and DOA-certified.

MAC Aero Interiors remains the supplier and holder of its contractual obligations, while production is executed at the facility owned by MAC Aero Interiors’ parent company, allowing the company to benefit from the wide network of Magnetics’ overall infrastructure in Tallinn.

Additionally, China-based MAC Sichuan (a subsidiary of MAC Aero Interiors) continues to provide total technical care support for large-volume cabin orders and brings exposure to the Asian market.

“2020 is a time to write our own successes story for MAC Aero Interiors: a big step was taken at the start of the year in terms of our development strategy, resulting in the whole interior business being consolidated under one umbrella under the name of MAC Aero Interiors.

“This includes production that has been relocated from the UK, as well as the expansion of DOA services and growth of the operating interiors shop in Tallinn”, commented commercial director at Magnetic MRO Inga Duglas.

“Our production team has streamlined facility processes, while the sales team continues to bring new opportunities and deals that feed our interior business in the short term, as well as secure long-term partnership for a sustainable work-flow,” she added.

“This strategic decision is the outcome of an increased level of indecisiveness in the UK market. Magnetic MRO has already extended its POA, DOA and Part-145 certificates to cover Mac Aero Interiors product portfolio in full,” noted MAC Aero Interiors MD Marko Männiste.

“The production facility at Magnetic MRO Tallinn has been running for several years and it’s now up to standard to assure its readiness in executing production of the Mac Aero Interiors product portfolio.”

He continued: “Magnetic MRO Group always looks for valuable strategical decisions to retain customers and assure the quality of service we deliver in the aviation industry.

“Therefore, we believe that our customers will benefit from the relocated facility of production, due to efficiency (including improved turnaround times and pricing logics) and the fact that our production will remain within the European Union means we can guarantee a continuous supply after Brexit.”
