Qantas has shared pictures of the cabin of its upcoming A321XLR fleet.
The airline has 28 of the longest-range variant of the Airbus A320 family on order, the first of which is expected to enter service in April 2025.
Five metres longer than the Boeing 737 it will gradually replace, the A321XLR will feature more seating within the Business and Economy cabins without reducing the space between the seats.

The cabin has been designed by Australian designer David Caon, the widebody cabin features ambient LED lighting, high ceilings and large windows for more natural light and expansive panoramic views. Plus, there’s increased storage for carry-on items, with the overhead lockers offering room for around 60% more bags than the outgoing aircraft.
The aircraft will have 20 business class seats and either 177 or 180 economy class seats (for some reason, some of the aircraft have a slightly different specification). Whatever the spec though, the new aircraft offers more space per seat than the B737 thanks to a slightly longer fuselage.
