Aero Capital Solutions (ACS) is to convert an additional 13 737-800SFs to freighters, with the work to be carried out by Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) authorised conversion centres.
The first of these aircraft will commence modification by Miami, Florida-based Commercial Jet in March 2023. The remaining 12 aircraft modifications will be distributed between Commercial Jet, KF Aerospace and HAECO Xiamen, with the final aircraft commencing conversion work in December 2023.
Upon completion, ACS’ total freighter portfolio will comprise 34 737-800SFs, as the company already has 21 aircraft committed for conversion.
“Air cargo demand remains strong, even as we emerge from Covid, driven by factors including a long term upward shift in consumer e-commerce use,” said ACS’ CEO and founder Jason Barany. “Our growing fleet of efficient narrowbody freighters has been created to meet the rapidly expanding needs of cargo operators and express carriers.”
