Alliance Ground International (AGI) has announced plans to expand its operations at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT).
The expansion, which will commence in December 2021, will include new ramp and warehouse operations.
AGI said it is recruiting up to 40 new members of staff to operate services at the 25,000 square-foot facility which is currently operated by AGI sister company Cargo Force.
“AGI is excited to be working with Pittsburgh Airport as they look to provide airlines and freight forwarders with the opportunity to expand operations in the United States,” said AGI’s vice president of business development Warren Jones.
“This location is a great addition to the AGI network and we are looking forward to providing a first class service in this amazing market.”
Pittsburgh International Airport’s senior vice president of air service and commercial development added: “Cargo is an important focus at Pittsburgh International Airport, and we are pleased AGI is expanding operations at PIT.
“PIT’s speed and efficiency are key to cargo logistics and we look forward to continued growth with AGI.”
AGI has recently announced the expansion of its operations at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, USA, as well as new facilities at Newark.
Last month, it also acquired Chicago-headquartered handler Maestro.
