Air Charter Service opens Chicago office

Air Charter Service Chicago office

Aircraft charter specialist Air Charter Service has opened a new office in Chicago.

The global air cargo charter broker, which offers private jet, commercial airliner and cargo aircraft charters as well as onboard courier solutions, opened its new location on 1 March. Chicago is the company’s tenth base in the Americas.

Speaking on the announcement, ACS Americas’ president Richard Thompson commented: “Chicago has been on our radar as a natural location for another US ACS office for a number of years.”

“The city is the third largest in population in the US and has one of the highest GDPs in the world – generating $689 billion last year. O’Hare Airport is the sixth busiest in the world and the city is home to many Fortune 500 companies, some of whom are household names. We believe that there is a large market for both our passenger and cargo aircraft charter services here”, Thompson continued.

Established operations

“We have been conducting business with clients from Chicago and the rest of Illinois for many years and are looking forward to building closer relationships with them as well as welcoming new customers on board.”

The company says Caitlin Uhlmann will be heading up the Chicago operation. “Caitlin has been instrumental in setting up our last few US offices and I am extremely confident that she is the right person for the job. I’m looking forward to the progression of the new office under her leadership”, Thompson said.

The company, which last year appointed industry veteran and former Air Charter Service CEO Tony Bauckham as its dedicated Brexit consultant, arranges more than 23,000 charter flights annually with revenue of close to $700 million.
