ATC rolls out CargoBooking platform

ATC Aviation’s recently launched e-booking platform ‘CargoBooking’ is to be rolled out among the GSSA’s global network of 34 countries within the next weeks, and has started with an airline in Germany.

The portal guides the user through the booking process by automated proposals and customised choices, ATC said. The CargoBooking platform allows the customer to request air cargo quotes, compare spot rates, book the AWB, and track the full end to end journey.

ATC also noted that artificial intelligence in the platform helped to eradicate “many of the manual entry processes required today”.

“We are continuously working to make the booking experience even smoother for our users,” said ATC’s vice president commercial Paul Breburda, who is leading the implementation on the ATC side. “80 per cent of our customers are happy to handle simple inquiries by themselves. The channel is already in use in test markets and has found lively interest.”

Awery Aviation Software’s chief commercial officer Tristan Koch commented: “We are delighted to be working with ATC and helping them with their adoption of the very latest technologies to bring their clients a fully integrated, digital online user experience. As one of the largest GSSA groups in the world ATC manages vast volumes of enquiries, data and bookings across numerous airline partners’ networks. Awery was chosen to assist ATC in ensuring that these functions could all be managed as efficiently as possible and deliver best in class user experience both for clients and internal staff. Having ATC as our launch partner has been a huge success and we are already seeing the benefits for them, and their clients being realised.”

ATC’s CEO Ingo Zimmer (pictured) said: “With the new e-booking tool, we are improving the digital interface to our customers, which is available 24/7. The personal contact through our sales staff will continue to be maintained and focused on individual needs. The e-booking platform is the next big step to continue our digital growth path besides other IT tools supporting our operational efficiency.”
