AviaAM Leasing welcomes first 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter

AviaAM Leasing

AviaAM Leasing has added its first 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter to its fleet.

The company acquired the aircraft in March and embarked on its first passenger to freighter conversion project, which was carried out at Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Company’s (STAECO) facility in Jinan, China.

The converted freighter has already been ferried to Kaunas, Lithuania, where a C check is being performed, with the further aim of repainting the airframe into the future lessee’s paint scheme. Following final touch-ups the aircraft will be ready for a delivery in mid-August.

AviaAM Leasing said it had committed to having ten 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters by mid-2022.

Its second aircraft is currently undergoing P2F conversion work at Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (GAMECO) facilities. Delivery is expected in the later stages of 2021.
