Air Canada is ramping up cargo opportunities this winter with its largest-ever network expansion into Latin America.

The 2025/2026 winter schedule adds 13 new routes, including previously unserved destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara.

With over 55 daily flights and more than 80,000 seats per week, the airline now offers the most extensive Latin America coverage among Canadian carriers. This strategic growth supports Air Canada’s New Frontiers strategy, emphasising Sixth Freedom connectivity and increasing belly cargo capacity across key markets.

Mark Galardo, Air Canada‘s executive vice president and chief commercial officer, and president of cargo, noted the expansion is designed to capitalise on “growing cargo opportunities” while enhancing travel options for passengers.
