Ukrainian freighter Antonov Airlines has transported 95 tonnes of critical oil and gas equipment on its AN-124-100 aircraft from Stavanger, Norway to Changi, Singapore.

The oversized cargo transportation was carried out in cooperation with Golden Aviation and included equipment such as cable reels and pipes.

The complex 7,700-mile journey required specialised loading equipment at both the departure and arrival points.

Eugene Kiva, commercial executive, at Antonov Airlines, said: “Despite the logistical challenges and complex loading/unloading, the flight departed and arrived precisely on schedule, demonstrating the reliability and precision of the AN-124-100 and its crew in executing such demanding operations.

“Golden Aviation’s kind response and support, professional and effective input to completing this project combined with Antonov‘s loading management skills and flight crew operation made the perfect match to perform the transportation smoothly and in time.”
