Hong Kong Air Cargo has announced the launch of a new all-cargo route between Hong Kong and Budapest, Hungary, which will operate twice a week.
An Airbus A330-200F cargo freighter will be used on the route and it marks the fifth new destination added by Hong Kong Air Cargo this year.
Budapest Airport is a key cargo hub in Central and Eastern Europe, with a record cargo volume of 201,000 tonnes in 2023.
Hong Kong Air Cargo says the new route will provide more efficient cargo transport solutions between Hong Kong and Budapest and the broader Central and Eastern European region, meeting growing e-commerce demand.
Gary Zhan, chairman of Hong Kong Air Cargo, said: “We are delighted to launch this new route, marking a significant milestone in our company’s development.
“This will facilitate greater trade between Hong Kong and Budapest and we look forward to providing our customers with superior service.”
