Global air charter specialist Chapman Freeborn has announced a 48% rise in the number of women in management positions over the past year, alongside a 9% increase in female representation across the company.

As part of its commitment to talent development, the company has made substantial investments in recruitment, training, and retention efforts, resulting in a 3% overall growth in its workforce.

Laura Smith, senior UK HR business partner at Chapman Freeborn, said: “Chapman Freeborn has a culture that prioritises ability and performance over individual characteristics. We are working towards an even split of men and women, in contrast to the wider aviation industry where the balance is as disparate as 80-20, men to women.

“There is clearly still much more work to do, but at Chapman Freeborn we will continue bolstering and celebrating our colleagues, regardless of their gender identity.”

This announcements comes ahead of International Women’s Day, and follows Chapman Freeborn being awarded Best Full-Service Charter Company at the recent Aviation Achievement Awards and being recognised as Air Charter Broker of the Year for the second year in a row at the recent Payload Asia Awards.
