Global air charter specialist Chapman Freeborn successfully completed the transportation of the Prague National Opera, a group of 185 musicians, to the Savonlinna Opera Festival.

Chapman Freeborn’s flexibility in accommodating special requests, such as for instruments to be walked onto a Boeing 737-800, ensured the smooth and safe transit of the orchestra.

Annika Eerola, passenger sales manager for the Nordics at Chapman Freeborn, said: “These types of charters are always challenging because the instruments are so fragile, and it’s natural for musicians to want to be near them.

“We personally escort our clients from the moment they arrive at the airport, ensuring they feel at ease throughout the journey.”

Chapman Freeborn specialises in creating custom air charter experiences, whether for passengers, cargo, or both, adjusting to meet specific needs and circumstances.

Henna Orava, producer of the Savonlinna Opera Festival, said: “Chapman Freeborn offered timely support every step of the way. Their attention to detail and consistent communication made the entire process easy.”

This successful charter was organised under the leadership of Annika Eerola, who was appointed to lead sales in the Nordic region earlier this year. She partnered with Passenger Charter Broker Gary Vaughan to handle the unique challenges of this project.
